Although it might seem that smart tables present nothing but advantages, there are many drawbacks that can be found when it comes to this intriguing invention.
It can break very easily, since the slightest incident could lead to the destruction of this very sophisticated system.
Also, if the teacher does not find the exact program she is looking for, or in other words, if the programs already present on the SMART system do not help in reaching the desired learning outcomes, creating a whole new program is very time-consuming and might not end up the way the teacher intends it to.
And last but not least, teachers should always keep in mind that students might get very distracted and not listen to their instructions since their only focus would be on the table. It could also lead to students heavily relying on technology in every aspect of their lives, which could be very problematic later on in these children' lives.
